Scholarships and Student Loans
1. Scholarships
Scholarships enable students to reach their academic goals by providing outstanding students with financial support. Students are eligible for both university scholarships and scholarships form outside of the university.
1) There are a variety of university designated scholarships. Sejong University grants academic scholarships to students who have displayed superior academic performance. Students with certain accolades such exemplary state examination scores or special certification are also eligible for scholarships. Language scholarships are awarded to students with language exam test scores higher than the university set in any certified language tests such as English and Japanese. Students may also receive merit scholarships is given to descended from meritorious people. Students with parents working at Sejong University are awarded scholarships. Scholarships by departmental recommendation are given to students who are selected among students in need on the basis of standards laid down by the University. Students serving on the student council or other student-run organizations may receive scholarships. Students employed by Sejong University may apply for scholarships. And there are Sejong Family Scholarship, Scholarship for the Disabled, Edelweiss scholarship etc. Freshmen who enter Sejong University with excellent grades are eligible for financial support.
2) External Scholarships are supported by public and private organizations. These include scholarships from the air force, navy, and army, as well as scholarships supported by over 50 foundations such as the Korea Research Foundation, Jung-Hun Foundation, and the Jeong Su Scholarship Foundation.
2. Student Loans
Sejong University's Student Loan Program provides students with financial aid. due to family circumstances includes "Korea Research Foundation's Student Loan" lending to students coming from farming and fishing regions, and government-guaranteed student loan which each bank supports. These loans are available if applicants meet the fixed standards presented by the Institutions and apply according to loaning ways.
