‘글로벌잉글리쉬’는 세계화시대에 적합한 영어회화 실력 육성을 위해 개설된 과목으로 영어 원어민과 자유로운 의사소통을 할 수 있는 환경을 마련해 준다. 또한 수강 신청한 학생뿐만 아니라 모든 학생(walk-in students)에게 개방되어 언제라도 영어로 대화할 수 있는 편안한 공간을 제공하고 있다.

“Global English" is a course designed to enhance conversational English proficiency suitable for the era of globalization. It provides an environment for students to engage in free communication with native English speakers, fostering the ability to communicate in English effectively. The course is open not only to registered students but also to walk-in students, offering a comfortable space for English conversations at any time.

본 과목을 정규 학점으로 수강 신청한 학생은 일주일에 총 4회의 세션을 신청한 후 세종잉글리쉬존(광B07)에서 수강하여야 한다. 개강 일주일 전에 세종잉글리쉬존(광B07)을 방문하여 수강하려는 4회의 세션 시간을 신청하여야 하며, 학기의 첫 주 수업이 끝나기 전까지 세션 신청을 완료해야 한다. 출결은 각 세션을 담당하는 교수님이 관리한다.

Students who have registered for this course for regular academic credit are required to sign up for a total of four sessions per week and take the class in the Sejong English Zone (Gwanggaeto Building, Room B07). Starting one week before the semester begins, students must visit Sejong English Zone (Gwanggaeto Building, Room B07) to apply for the 4 sessions they wish to attend. Students must sign up by the end of the first week of classes. Attendance and related matters will be managed by each professor for each class time. 

1. 수강 시간 등록 Session Registration

가. 수강 시간 등록 : 8월 25일(화) ~ 9월 7일(월) 10시부터 16시까지

a. Registration Period: August 25th (Tue) to September 7th (Mon), from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

※ 수강 시간 등록 및 정정은 선착순으로 진행 (8월 25일 10시부터 가능, 9월 7일 16시에 마감)

※ Session Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis starting from 10:00 AM on August 25^th until 4:00 PM on September 7^th.

※ Please note: If student sign-ups for the Debate sections are insufficient, the classes may revert to standard Free Talking sections.

※ 본 과목은 P/NP 수업으로 총점 100점 중 80점 이상을 획득해야 하며 그 이하의 성적은 NP 처리된다.

성적 반영 비율: 출석 50% / 수업 참여도 50%.

“결석 횟수가 FA 부여 기준 미만이라 하더라도, 수업 참여도로 인한 감점으로 총점이 Pass 기준에 미달할 경우 NP(Non-Pass) 처리”될 수 있으니 유의하시기 바랍니다.

※ Students must obtain 80 points out of 100 to pass this course. Those who get less than 80 points will receive a “Non-Pass.”

Grade Distribution: Attendance 50% / Class Participation 50%.

Please note that even if a student's number of absences does not reach the threshold for automatic FA assignment, they may still receive an NP if deductions resulting from lack of class participation cause their total score to fall below the minimum passing requirement of 80%

※ 대면 수강 신청한 분반은 세종대학교 어플 시간표에 자동으로 나타나지 않으므로 학생들은 따로 기록해 두어야 한다.

※ The sections registered in person will not automatically appear on the Sejong University app timetable; therefore, students who have registered must keep a separate record of their sections.

※ 세종잉글리쉬존(SEZ)의 위치는 광B07로, 광개토관 지하1층 Cafe Dictionary를 통과해야 한다. 

※ The location of Sejong English Zone (SEZ) is Gwang B07, and you need to pass through Cafe Dictionary on the basement level (B1) of Gwanggaeto Hall to get there.
