최근 국내 주요 대학에서 생성형 AI(AI 기반 텍스트 생성 도구) 활용에 따른 학사부정 사례가 증가하고 있으며, 

학부에서 발생한 문제가 대학원 단계까지 확산되는 사례도 보고되고 있습니다.

우리 대학은 외국인 유학생 여러분이 관련 규정을 정확히 이해하고 준수할 수 있도록 아래와 같이 안내드립니다.

1. 생성형 AI 활용은 ‘조건부 허용’입니다.

강의계획서 또는 담당교수 지침에 따라 AI 활용 가능 여부와 범위가 다릅니다.

교수의 명시적 허가 없이 AI가 생산한 내용을 그대로 제출하는 행위는 부정행위에 해당합니다.

2. 다음과 같은 행위는 부정행위로 간주됩니다.

- 과제·보고서·프로젝트를 AI로 작성하여 제출

- 생성형 AI가 만든 내용을 출처 없이 그대로 사용

- AI를 이용해 온라인 시험·퀴즈를 대체

- 논문 작성 시 AI 생성 문장·데이터를 무단으로 포함

- 타인의 계정 또는 유료 AI 서비스를 이용해 대리 작성 요청

3. 부정행위 적발 시 주요 불이익

외국인 유학생도 동일한 학사규정을 적용받으며, 위반 시 다음과 같은 조치를 받을 수 있습니다.

- 해당 과제 또는 과목 0점 처리

- 학사경고 및 유급

- 연구윤리 위반에 따른 학위 취득 제한

- 비자 연장 및 유학자격 유지에 불이익 발생 가능

4. 올바른 AI 활용 가이드(권장)

- AI는 참고자료 용도로만 활용

- 생성된 내용을 본인 문장으로 재구성

- 활용 시 반드시 AI 사용 사실 명시 (예: “본 보고서는 문장 교정에 ChatGPT를 보조적으로 활용함.”)

As of late, there has been an increase in cases of academic misconduct, 

related to the use of Generative AI (AI-based text generation tools), at major domestic universities. 

Cases where issues arising at the undergraduate level are spreading to the graduate level have also been reported.

To ensure that our students understand fully and comply with the relevant regulations, we provide guidance as follows.

1. Generative AI Use is 'Permitted Under Conditions'

The possibility and scope of the use of AI may vary depending on the course syllabus or the instructor's guidelines. 

Submitting content produced by AI without the explicit permission of the instructor, constitutes academic misconduct.

2. Actions Considered as Academic Misconduct

The following actions are considered academic misconduct and are strictly prohibited:

 - Submitting assignments, reports, or projects written entirely by AI.

 - Using content generated by Generative AI without citing the source.

 - Using AI to substitute for online exams or quizzes.

 - Unauthorised inclusion of AI-generated sentences or data when writing a thesis/dissertation.

 - Requesting ghostwriting using another person's account or a paid AI service.

3. Penalties Upon Discovery of Misconduct

International students are subject to the same academic regulations. 

Violations may result in:

 - Zero credit for the relevant assignment or course.

 - Academic probation and course repetition (유급).

 - Restrictions on degree acquisition due to research ethics violations.

 - Potential disadvantages in visa extension and maintenance of student status.

4. Guidelines for Proper AI Use (Recommended)

To use AI properly, students should adhere to the following:

 - Utilize AI only for reference purposes.

 - Restructure the generated content into your own sentences.

 - Must explicitly state the fact of AI usage when utilized (e.g., "This report utilized ChatGPT as a supplementary tool for sentence correction.").
