General Education Policy Updates
Change in General Education Elective Requirements
(Effective from Fall Semester 2023)
For students admitted in 2021 or earlier, the requirement to complete electives from at least three different areas has been removed.
Abolition of Minimum Required Credits in Elective Area 1
(Effective from Fall Semester 2025)
The minimum required credits in General Education Elective Area 1 have been abolished
for both domestic and international students.
Integration of General Education Elective Areas
(Effective from Spring Semester 2022)
General Education Elective Area 1 and Area 2 have been integrated into a single category: General Education Electives.

Electronic Attendance System
To allow real-time attendance tracking, minimize issues of proxy attendance,
and improve convenience for both students and faculty,
a location-based electronic attendance system has been implemented since Fall Semester 2015.
For usage instructions, please search “electronic attendance” in academic notices on the university website.
Academic Warning Support Program
To improve academic performance, students who receive an academic warning due to insufficient GPA
must complete learning improvement programs offered by the Center for Teaching and Learning during vacation.
Students who fail to complete the program will have their maximum course registration credits limited to 15.
Course Retake Limit
(Academic Regulation Article 10, Clause 6)
Students may not exceed 3 course retakes per semester.
However, this limit does not apply to:
Extended-year students
Courses with failing grades (F, FA, NP, I included)

Please refer carefully to the attached Course Catalog, especially the curriculum requirements and transitional measures by admission year.Returning students must apply for reinstatement before registering for courses and must register during the designated period for their year level.
(Students on leave of absence may not be eligible for course registration, so please be sure to apply for reinstatement within the official period.)
